Our institutions offer much more than just a place of learning: they are true living spaces where every young person can develop, learn and find their place – across our three campuses in Genech, Lesquin and Bavay, through school education, apprenticeships or adult training.
Thanks to complementary environments, our campuses host learners from Year 10 to undergraduate level, in school education, apprenticeship or adult training, within a secure, caring and stimulating environment.
Whether we are passionate about animals, nature, and sport, sensitive to ecological issues, drawn to solidarity projects or simply looking for a reassuring environment, everyone can thrive in an environment suited to their needs.
01. GENECH

In the heart of the Pévèle region, the Genech campus is steeped in over 130 years of history, set within a stunning natural environment. A true community hub, it is renowned for its warm, dynamic and welcoming atmosphere, where young people go about their daily lives, day and night, in a unique, family-oriented and people-centred setting.
The diversity of training courses and audiences – from Year 4 to the third year of higher education – fosters a rich, intergenerational dynamic that encourages mutual support, discovery and solidarity.

Our educational programme
As the School Development Plan, being at the Institut de Genech is not limited solely to academic learning. The educational teams therefore offer a wide range of activities that encourage meetings, projects and sharing to bring the Institut de Genech community to life, in which every learner has their place and grows in self-respect and respect for every other individual.
Classes take place from Monday to Friday, from 8.15 am to 5.35 pm. However, they start at 9.25 am on Mondays and finish at 4.00 pm on Fridays. This information may vary depending on each learner’s work commitments, their chosen options, and any additional activities or modules selected at the time of enrolment.
Outside of classes, young people can make use of various indoor and outdoor study and relaxation areas to complete homework, group work or practical assignments. Our numerous spaces have been designed around the actual needs of the people we welcome, in order to offer places tailored to the habits, schedules and learning styles of each individual. Learners can also take part in numerous sporting, cultural and community-based activities organised throughout the year by the educational and pastoral team:
- sports tournaments, cross-country races, cultural events
- blind tastings, themed evenings, talent show
- collective challenges and environmentally responsible actions
- festive events (Christmas party, sixth-form prom, etc.)

Local life & healthcare centre
Informal moments are also part of life on campus: snacks are provided during each morning and afternoon break for secondary school pupils, get-togethers in the common room, and discussions between pupils and the teaching and support staff.
One health division is on site with a state-registered school nurse who provides medical support, psychological monitoring and a link with the educational teams and the CEA (Cultivating Fulfilment and Achievement) department

02. Lesquin

Located on 4 hectares of woodland, the Lesquin site offers a surprising natural setting in the heart of an urban environment. With its landscaped park, eco-grazing and urban agriculture projects, this training centre in the Lille metropolis is a true “a ”green lung” for the town.
The diversity of the participants enrolled on apprenticeship schemes or continuing professional development courses fosters a spirit of interaction and exchange between generations.

In everyday life.
Classes take place from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. The week begins on Monday at 9.00 am and ends on Friday at 12.00 noon. A lunch break is scheduled in accordance with the timetable provided, usually between 12.45 pm and 1.45 pm, subject to variations depending on the course in question.
Daily life is punctuated by convivial spaces and times for sharing:
- fully equipped cafeteria (table football, piano, music, games)
- self-service-style dining area
- park with a relaxation area and a pétanque court
- collaborative projects and group work
- individual support solution provided by the REA (Relay Listening and Support) unit
Les apprentices from Lesquin may also benefit from the’Genech campus boarding school, thanks to shuttles between the two sites.

03. Bavay

A small-scale establishment.
With approximately 200 learners and a team of around 30 professionals, the Bavay campus offers a friendly and reassuring environment for all its pupils, whether they are day pupils, half-boarders or boarders. The close relationship between pupils and teaching staff fosters active listening, guidance and trust.
The presence of a small educational farm (pigs and chickens) helps to create a vibrant and tangible environment.

Classes run from Monday at 9:00 am to Friday at 12:00 pm, according to the schedule given to each learner at the beginning of the year. The scheduling is designed to promote a balance between learning time and communal life, which plays an essential role within the institution.
Young people take part in many activities:

- arts and crafts workshops
- sports clubs and collective projects (Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Moove Your Hand’, etc.)
- radio studio
- outings (swimming pool, ice rink, hiking, paintball, etc.)

In particular, it welcomes young people who need to rebuild their confidence, receive personalised support and benefit from a structured environment. Small class sizes and educational support enable the school to offer tailored pathways for everyone, with room for error and project-based learning.

- support over several years, if necessary.
THE BOARDING SCHOOL
The boarding school at Genech and Bavay.
Much more than just accommodation: a place to live, success and personal fulfilment.
Every evening, a a new life begins for young people who choose to board at Genech or Bavay. More than just a place to sleep, the boarding house is a real living space where study, discussion, independence and socialising go hand in hand.
From secondary school (4th) until BAC+3, whether they are following a school-based course or an apprenticeship, the boarding school supports young people on their journey and enables them to thrive in a safe, dynamic and enriching environment.
The accommodation options on offer are varied and tailored to the needs of the residents, depending on their age. Young people are accommodated in double, triple or quadruple rooms and receive support from a lead teacher. The supervisor ensures that the rules of communal living are observed, organises group activities and encourages interaction amongst the young people. They are also responsible for supervising the young people and ensuring their safety, from the time they arrive in the evening until they leave for school in the morning.
Support tailored to each age group
At the end of the course, learners receive support from a a caring teaching team to their well-being and committed to supporting their success. The students, as adults, undertake to comply with the rules governing access to and life on campus, whilst showing respect for the entire educational community.
Les younger benefit from supervised and supported study time to encourage concentration, homework and revision in a quiet environment.
From the Year 12 classes, students gradually gain independence while remaining supervised by the educators. They can work:
- room service
- in the library
- in computer labs or other flexible spaces accessible independently
- individually or in groups in dedicated spaces
Organising evening events makes it possible to effectively combine work and relaxation: during the evening slots in the week, a majority are dedicated to studies in order to promote educational success.
Activities for making the most of boarding school life
Boarding school is also a place where everyone can discover new passions, share experiences and build lasting bonds. Several times a week, young people can take part in a variety of activities:
- Sport: football, rugby, volleyball, handball, badminton, conditioning and many other activities
- Culture and leisure: horse riding, theatre and improvisation, music club, dance (rock and roll club), board games and table football, educational farm and outings: bowling, shows, sporting events…
These moments help to develop team spirit, self-confidence and cohesion among learners.
Growing together and making memories
The boarding school is a place where genuine friendships are forged and where everyone finds their place. Throughout the year, a range of highlights punctuate the boarders’ lives: themed evenings; festive events; sporting and cultural challenges; charity initiatives; and group activities.
Among the most eagerly awaited moments: the Boarding School Challenge, which brings young people together around sporting, cultural and solidarity events in a spirit of sharing and conviviality, without forgetting the famous Christmas party. Organised over several weeks, the Christmas party held at the Genech site is one of the most iconic highlights of life at the boarding school. For the occasion, the boarding school pupils come together in a festive and convivial atmosphere for a dinner and show conceived and organised by the pupils themselves: dancing, sketches, music, videos, surprises and good humour are all on the agenda.

Within the Institut de Genech Group, the The quality of the catering is a priority for the well-being and success of our learners. Across our three training sites – Genech, Lesquin and Bavay – we have chosen to work with a partner recognised for his commitment and expertise : Catering API.
Since over 60 years old, API Restauration advocates a vision of «head chef», based on strong values: simplicity, confidence, transparency and respect for the products. Meals are cooked using’fresh ingredients, prioritising seasonal produce, regional expertise and locally sourced ingredients.
API also develops partnerships with regional producers and agricultural supply chains afin de favoriser les circuits courts et une alimentation plus durable. Cette approche correspond pleinement aux valeurs portées par l’Institut de Genech, attaché au bien manger, à la qualité des produits et au respect du territoire agricole.

Les apprenants au cœur de l'amélioration du service.
Parce que la restauration concerne directement la vie quotidienne des jeunes, l’établissement a mis en place une commission restauration associant des apprenants des trois sites.
Cette commission permet :
- D’échanger sur les menus et les attentes des élèves
- De proposer des améliorations pour le service de restauration
- De sensibiliser aux enjeux du bien manger, de l’équilibre alimentaire et de la lutte contre le gaspillage
