The training

Objectives

The holder of the «Florist» professional brevet carries out the following functions:

Production, sales / negotiation, management / organisation.

The duties undertaken in each role vary depending on the size and organisation of the company. The scope of work for the holder of the BP Florist qualification will cover the following main missions:

  • Maintenance of the shop, the workshop and the climatic chamber by applying technical and scientific knowledge regarding products and equipment,
  • Production of all floristry work which he must organise with a view to
  • best performance taking into account store image and customer base,
  • Sale of products and services using all communication techniques and relying on knowledge of the customer base and the company environment,
  • As for management, he may be responsible for organising day-to-day work, including at the delivery level, ensuring stock control and the maintenance of basic documents necessary for management; he may participate in the analysis of costs and results

He may, occasionally and temporarily, cover for the business owner in the event of the latter’s absence. In all circumstances, the holder of the «Florist' BP will adopt a correct attitude and dress code in keeping with the image and style of the business.

  • Practical workshops, active and innovative pedagogy, thematic projects, practical scenarios

  • One-to-one mentoring through interviews and company visits
  • Facilities: Specialised practice rooms and classrooms all equipped with Apple TVs, display cabinet, grounds and patio, digital equipment for apprentices

(The training is funded by the OPCOs and the CFA. The apprentice and the company therefore have no costs to cover.)
