The training
The night duty security officer/visitor ensures the safety of individuals and premises at night, assists residents according to their needs, intervenes in the event of an emergency and passes on information for the day/night handover, while respecting professional secrecy.
Upon completion of the training course, the professional will be able to:
UNIT 1 – ENSURING THE SAFETY OF PEOPLE AND PROPERTY IN THE SOCIAL AND MEDICO-SOCIAL SECTOR
Role and function of the night watchman / visitor regarding the safety of people and property, rounds, inspection of facilities, interventions, first aid, hygiene.
UNIT 2 – SUPPORTING VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS IN THE SOCIAL AND MEDICO-SOCIAL SECTOR
Role and function of the night care assistant / night visitor regarding the support of individuals, public issues, the foundations and methods of support. Techniques for meeting hygiene and comfort needs. Ensuring rest, providing individual or group support, and ensuring respect for living rules.
UNIT 3 – ENSURING DAY-NIGHT CONTINUITY WITHIN A GIVEN INSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORK IN THE SOCIAL AND MEDICO-SOCIAL SECTOR
Institutional framework of the role, multi-professional teamwork, passing on information, participating in personalised care plans, knowing the institutional and regulatory framework, communicating effectively.
MODULE 4 – WORKING AS A NIGHT-TIME PROFESSIONAL IN THE SOCIAL AND MEDICO-SOCIAL SECTOR
The course comprises 301 hours of training at the CFA and 371 hours of work placement.

Placement test, self-assessment test (written papers), individual motivation and project evaluation interview, tailored programme and individualisation of duration and support.
