The training

Level 4 State Diploma, awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty. Registered in the RNCP on 04/01/2021 under number 35185.
Objectives
  • Develop a product valorisation strategy for the retail aisle: position the product on the market and propose commercial actions for a product launch
  • Meet the expectations of the sales policy of the point of sale: Regulate one's activity through discussions with management and report on observations likely to have an influence on the sales policy
  • Meeting the specific expectations of an individual customer: advising a customer and making a sale
  • Manage a food department: manage the department and its replenishment, and prepare products for sale
  • Merchandise a food sales space: set up promotional sales areas and organise events around food products
  • Adapting to specific professional challenges

Professional Adaptation Module (MAP): Gaining an understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of food products in short supply chains

The Vocational Baccalaureate in Sales and Customer Advisory is completed over 3 years, for a total of 2,025 hours of training, from September to June, according to a schedule provided by the training centre.

Vocational Year 11

  • 666 hours of training
  • 36 weeks of classes at the CFA
  • Classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9 am to 6 pm

First year of Bac Pro

  • 676 hours of training
  • 36 weeks of classes at the CFA
  • Classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9 am to 6 pm

Final year of vocational high school

  • 683 hours of training
  • 36 weeks of classes at the CFA
  • Classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9 am to 6 pm

Full weeks in the company are also scheduled during peak commercial periods, notably over the Christmas and New Year holidays and key periods of business activity.

  • For 12 months: €10,000

(The training is funded by the OPCOs and the CFA. The apprentice and the company therefore have no costs to cover.)

Anyone wishing to work in the retail food sector.

  • Be aged between 15 and 29; there is no age restriction for people with RQTH status
  • To come from a Year 9 or holder of a CAPA or be in Year 10, Year 11 or Year 12 of the general education stream, or be undertaking vocational retraining or a change of career path
  • Certain age and qualification exemptions exist depending on the candidates' profile

10 to 30 participants

  • Individual interview and placement test (decision within 20 days of the first contact)
  • Having concluded an apprenticeship contract with a company in the private sector (various types of retail, local shops, mass retail, craft product retail, farm drive, etc.)

The course is structured around In-Course Assessments (CCF), which account for 50% of the final assessment, and Final Examinations (EPT), which account for 50% of the final assessment.

  • Premises: Fire safety regulations for public buildings (ERP) – Premises accessible to people with reduced mobility
  • Possible academic guidance and adaptation, mentored by a disability officer
