The training

Objectives

A year to become a major player in agroecological transitions serving local areas.

Train and qualify middle managers at the crossroads of agricultural organisation management, agricultural production, and environmental issues, capable of strategic management, technical consultancy, facilitation, support for transitions, and project or team management.

Develop adaptability, analytical and expertise skills, which are essential for evolving in a rapidly changing agricultural sector.

SEMESTER 1

  • EU1.1: Analysing a production system in the light of environmental and climate challenges
  • UE1.2: Conducting a research project in agronomy
  • UE1.3: Innovating and supporting professionals in their technological transitions
  • UE1.4: From actor to industry sector: positioning oneself within one's company

Semester 2

  • VU2.1: Managing the strategy and overall performance of the agricultural organisation
  • UE2.2: Supporting agricultural organisations in their efforts towards social and environmental responsibility
  • UE2.3: Developing professional identity in agronomy professions
  • UE2.4: Supporting change within an agricultural organisation

The training is delivered through an apprenticeship or through continuing vocational training, from 1 September to 31 August.

Course duration:

  • 600 hours of training spread over 18 weeks at a training centre and 34 weeks in a workplace
  • The training takes place at the JUNIA (Lille) and Institut de Genech (GENECH) sites
  • Recognising professional experience within each teaching unit
  • Company visits, sharing of experiences / Project-based learning and group work,
  • Hackathon / Presentations by institutional and professional partners,
  • Monitoring and support: learning log, mentoring and workplace support
  • Some of the teaching takes place on our partner’s campus JUNIA, in Lille

Tariffs

For 12 months: £12,500

The training is mainly funded by the company's OPCO (Operator of Skills) as well as by funds obtained by the CFA.

From 1 July 2025, the state is imposing a residual charge of €750 for the training year.

This amount will be invoiced by the training centre after the 45-day company trial period.

  • Be aged between 16 and 29
  • To hold a Higher National Diploma
  • OR hold a university degree in technology
  • OR have obtained 120 ECTS credits in a specialisation within the national bachelor’s degree
  • OR hold a vocational bachelor’s degree in agriculture or the agri-food sector
  • OR hold a professional qualification classified as Level 5 under the National Framework for Vocational Qualifications, in the field of the relevant specialisation relating to agriculture or the agri-food sector
  • Present a professional plan aligned with the course objectives and expectations
  • Sign an apprenticeship contract within a host organisation for the duration of the training linked to the qualification.

This qualification is also available as part of continuing professional development.

In this case, candidates must hold a degree in Level 4 and have at least three years’ professional experience in roles relating to agronomy, agricultural production or consultancy

Applications are submitted via an online platform. There are two application rounds.

Recruitment takes place via portfolio (50% of the assessment) and interview (50% of the assessment) with a panel, a pair comprising a member of JUNIA and a member of the Institut de Genech. It takes into account, in particular, the candidate’s academic background, level of technical expertise, experience and personal motivation.

Final approval of the application is carried out by an admissions panel.

The course is organised into teaching modules (UE). Each teaching module is assessed, and successful completion leads to the award of ECTS credits. Skills are assessed in accordance with the national framework.

  • Possible academic guidance and adaptation, mentored by a disability officer
