The training

Level 5 State Diploma, issued by the Ministry of Sports. Registered in the RNCP under number 39573.

Objectives

The holder of the DEJEPS will have a professional licence allowing them to teach all riders. In this context, they will have the opportunity to:

Design and coordinate an action plan for the competition
Conduct a sports development process in equestrian sports
Regulating equestrian sports safely

Programme

THE APPRENTICE MUST PASS VARIOUS CAPITALISABLE UNITS (CUS) TO OBTAIN THEIR DIPLOMA:

UC 1 and 2: Common to all DEJEPS

Analyse the challenges of the professional life context
Define the resources required to implement the project
Design and coordinate the implementation of a competitive training project, lead a working team, and promote the scheduled activities
Manage the project logistics
Drive the quality assurance process

UC 3: Technical and teaching skills

Lead a teaching and learning process with 4 riders of level Galop 4 or lower, in the chosen discipline.
Conduct a training process with an amateur-level couple in the discipline

UC 4: Supervise equestrian sports safely

Carrying out technical demonstrations safely
Perform the professional actions necessary for the safety of the practitioners
Ensuring the safety of participants and third parties

Rhythm

800 hours at a training centre
Work-study pattern: approximately one week per month at the training centre and the rest of the time in the company

career prospects

The holder of the DEJEPS practises as a riding coach, namely:

Self-employed, running their own equestrian business or establishment
Employee in an equestrian centre, stable or specialised facility

This course enables participants to acquire the skills needed to supervise and coach riders, develop training programmes and manage equestrian activities.

Price

For 12 months: 10 500 €

(Training costs are covered by OPCOs and funding obtained by the CFA. There is therefore no remaining cost for the apprentice and the company.).

Prerequisite

To be at least 18 years of age by the date the examination is validated
Hold a PSC (Prévention et Secours Civiques) certificate or equivalent
Having passed the EPEF (including the practical requirement tests and medical certificate) or equivalent with the DRAJES (Regional Directorate for Youth, Sports and Social Cohesion)

Assessment methods

The skills taught in the training are organised into Capitalisable Units (UCs) throughout the training cycle:

Validation: all course units must be passed to obtain the qualification
Assessment arrangements: defined during the accreditation of the training provided by the Youth and Sports department
