The training

Level 4 State Diploma, issued by the Ministry of Sports. Registered in the RNCP under number 40034.

Objectives

The holder of the BP JEPS will have a professional card enabling them to teach all riders according to professional objectives:

Coaching and running leisure, introductory and competitive activities
To receive the public
Manage and run an equestrian centre
Developing and managing a cavalry force

Programme

The learner needs to have various blocks of competences (BC) validated in order to obtain their qualification:

BLOCK 1: common to all BPJEPS

Design and implement activity projects within the framework of the organisation

UNIT 2

Promoting the activities and projects of an organisation

BLOCK 3

Design, safely lead and evaluate learning cycles and sessions for equestrian activities

BLOCK 4: Prerequisites

Amateur 3 Grand Prix dressage test
Hunter Grand Prix 105 type obstacle course
Mixed-terrain route

BLOCK 4

Providing care, managing the equines and maintaining the equipment
Training horses for the teaching of equestrian activities

Rhythm

APPRENTICESHIP (2 years)

Training centre: 800 hours
Pattern of rotation: approximately 2 days a week at the training centre, with the rest in the company

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (1 year)

Training centre: 650 hours
Work placement: 555 hours

APPRENTICESHIP (2 years)

For 12 months: £12,500

(The training is funded by the OPCOs and the CFA. The apprentice and the company therefore have no costs to cover.)

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (1 year)

€14.75 an hour

(Possible funding options depending on your circumstances: self-funding, career transition support, etc. – please check with the centre.)

Prerequisite

To be at least 18 years of age by the date the examination is validated
Hold a PSC (Prévention et Secours Civiques) certificate or equivalent
Having validated the EPEF (including the practical requirement tests and medical certificate) or equivalent with the DRAJES (Regional Academic Delegation for Youth, Commitment and Sports) Level G6 minimum

Interview within 30 days following the initial contact (collective information session)

Assessment methods

Blocks of skills during the training cycle. All blocks of skills must be validated to obtain the qualification. Assessment methods are defined during the approval of the training course delivered by the Ministry of Sports.
