The forge workshop on the Genech site is a truly educational technical platform, where learners discover and practise the basics of metalworking in conditions close to those of the professional world. This learning space makes it possible to tackle a traditional expertise whilst developing technical skills that can be directly applied in real-life situations.
From the first tool to the complete part.
Supervised by a teaching team, learners learn to heat, shape, cut and assemble metal through practical achievements. Progression is built step by step, from the discovery of tools and safety rules until complete and functional parts are produced.
Learning is based on active pedagogy: technical demonstrations, guided exercises and immediate practical application allow learners to develop precision, diligence and independence. Each completed piece provides an opportunity to understand the material, practise professional techniques and progress in the mastery of blacksmithing skills.
