The training

Objectives

This 3-year vocational baccalaureate prepares students for agricultural business management. It is aimed at young people with a passion for farm management, field crops and agricultural machinery.

There they will discover agronomy: plant, soil and climate management; agricultural machinery and farm business management, in a spirit of complementarity between crop farming and livestock rearing.

Work placement periods of 18 to 22 weeks over 3 years:

  • 6 to 7 weeks in Year 11
  • 14 weeks out of the 2 years in Première and Terminale

A one-week placement must be carried out on the school farm in Year 10 and Year 12.

Farm, greenhouses, laboratory, technical workshops… discover all our educational workshops, which serve as genuine technical facilities for learning in real-world conditions.

Two weeks a year, the young people are constantly «farming» at the dairy unit, alongside their lessons. Thus, morning and evening, for an hour, they find themselves out in the field working with the farm employees and the cattle.

What next?

Upon completion of the course, graduates are able to enter the agricultural production sector as skilled employees or pursue a project to set up their own farm. They are also prepared to manage a team, assume responsibilities, and independently run an agricultural production system.

  • Pupils of 3rd wishing to move into agricultural careers
  • Young people from vocational secondary school or of CAPA
  • Level Year 9 class minimum (or equivalent)
  • Motivation for the agricultural work

Pre-enrolment can be done from November, via an appointment with the Headteacher of the Vocational Lycée. This is an opportunity to clarify the information received and to complete the administrative file.

Continuous assessment and final exams after the three years of training.

Work placement periods are the subject of a portfolio, which the student must present as part of the exam.

  • Premises: Fire safety regulations for public buildings (ERP) – Premises accessible to people with reduced mobility
  • Possible academic guidance and adaptation, mentored by a disability officer
