The training

Objectives

This three-year vocational baccalaureate prepares students for agricultural business management. It is aimed at young people with a passion for the animal world. They will learn about farm management, animal biology, livestock farming, and animal care, with an emphasis on the complementarity between livestock rearing and growing the crops needed to feed the animals.

The ideal of this training course? To allow learners to benefit from theoretical classes while supplementing their training with periods of practical fieldwork.

Young people taking the horse-riding option make the most of the Institut de Genech equestrian centre for two hours a week: horse care, clipping, feeding, bedding down, longeing, in-hand presentation, putting on training boots, and turning out to pasture.

Two weeks a year, the young people do a school work placement at the riding centre, alongside their lessons. Therefore, in the morning and evening, for one hour, and all day Wednesday, they are out on the grounds working with the employees, keeping pace with the riding centre and the horses.
