A technical platform at the heart of the sector horse.
The equestrian farm of the Institut de Genech is a major educational tool dedicated to training in equine trades and the equine industry. It welcomes learners of all levels, from secondary school to higher education (BTS and apprenticeship training), within a structured and vibrant professional environment.
Comprehensive facilities to support training.
The centre has a cavalry of approximately 50 chevaux, organised into a comprehensive structure comprising 25 boxes, two manèges, a floodlit arena, paddocks and pasture land. A active stable, established since 2019, promotes animal welfare by giving horses greater freedom of movement and raises pupils’ awareness of modern, respectful practices.
Teaching methods tailored to every level.
A genuine learning platform, the farm enables learners to alternate between lectures and practical work in order to master everyday professional practices: horse care, grooming, clipping, deworming, applying protective boots, stable maintenance and health management. The programme is tailored to each level of training: an introduction for secondary school pupils, the development of technical skills for sixth-formers, the development of independence for BTS students, and advanced training for apprentices.
Beyond just training, the equestrian centre is a real community and activity hub, welcoming FFE competitions, themed days and educational events (Equifun, Equiday). These highlights foster team spirit, a passion for the trade, and openness to the professional world.
